先月のオンラインワークショップでの埼玉県オリパラ課山口氏をゲストにお迎えし、私たちが疑問に思っていることを聞き、今の現状をお答えいただきました。子供たちが感じたこと、今何ができるのか考えたことをシェアさせていただきます。

Q１．Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
I was glad when I heard Mr.Yamaguchi from the Olympics and Paralympics Division of Saitama Prefecture give us following comments.
” Please believe that the Olympics and Paralympics will be held in 2021 and prepare for it.” And “I will try to find a way for you to welcoming the guests.”
僕は埼玉県オリパラ課の山口さんが「オリンピック、パラリンピックが２０２１年に開催されることを信じて準備してください。」「皆さんが何かしらのかたちでゲストを歓迎する方法を探したいと思っています。」と言うのを聞いて嬉しかったです。
Q2. Hypothesis(今後の想定):
I had been worried that the Olympics and Paralympics might be canceled until I joined this workshop.
However, I started to have good hopes that it will take place next year since many people are trying very hard to make it happen.
このワークショップに参加するまではオリンピックは中止になるのではないかと心配でした。
でもたくさんの人たちが来年の開催に向けて頑張っているのだから、望みを持てるようになりました。
Q３．Action(今、やりたいこと):
Above all, we should keep trying to get this whole corona virus situation under control.
I would like to try to come up with as many ideas as possible to make the guests happy.
Some of the ideas might not be allowed to put into practice but I hope I can do something to have fun with them.
In addition,I would like to improve my English so that I can communicate with the guests from all over the world.
なにより、私たちはこのコロナウイルスの状況を制御出来るように努力し続けなくてはいけないと思います。
ゲストを楽しませるアイデアを出来るだけたくさん出したいです。中には実行するのを許可されないアイデアもあるかもしれないけど何かゲストと一緒に楽しめる事をしたいです。
そして、世界中から来るゲストとコミュニケーションが取れるように英語を上達させたいです。

１．Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
To be honest, I was worried that the Olympics and Paralympics would not be held next year. However, it all changed when I heard from the Olympics and Paralympics Department of Saitama Prefecture that they are doing everything they can do now to hold the event next summer.
私は正直、オリンピック・パラリンピックは来年行われないのではないかと心配でした。しかし、今、自分に出来る事に取り組んでいらっしゃるとのお話を聞いて、私も今自分に出来る事を考えました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
First of all, it is important to consider the lifestyle that prevents and ends covid-19. Secondly, I want to cheer up those looking forward to the Olympics and Paralympics games.
始めに、コロナウイルス収束に向けて生活を考える事。二番目に、オリンピック・パラリンピックを楽しみにしている人々にエールを贈る事。
３．Action(今、できること):
Currently I’m folding a good luck thousand paper cranes during quarantine to wish everyone happiness. By the time my thousand cranes are completed, the decision to hold Olympics and Paralympics will surely be made!
私は今、ステイホーム中千羽鶴を折っています。千羽鶴が出来る頃にはきっとオリンピック・パラリンピックは行われるでしょう。

I thought that nothing was decided yet. 今はまだ何も決まっていないと思いました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
It may change from now on.It may change many times.I would like to accept it.
これからまた変わってくるかもしれません。何度も何度も変わるかもしれません。僕はそれを受け入れたいと思います。
３．Action(今、できること):
I need to replan accordingly.
But I still would like to make arches like flower paths to welcome the guests who comes to Saitama for the Olympics basketball tornaments.
I would love to do this plan! And I want to do my best for guests of the Olympics and Paralympics!
プランを練り直す必要があると思います。でも花道のアーチのプランはぜひやりたいです！

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
We were all wondering if we would be able to hold it next year.
Preparations are underway to use the tickets you have as they are.
Mr. Yamaguchi and others in the Oripara Division are now working to secure a venue for next year’s event.
However, I think direct interaction with the audience is still tough after a year, and I think it’s limited in many ways.
来年は開催できるのか、みんな気になっていた。
持っているチケットはそのまま使えるように準備が進められている。
今オリパラ課の山口さんたちは来年の開催に向けて会場の確保をしている。
ただ、観客との直接のふれあいは1年経った後も厳しいと思うし、色々と制限があると思う。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
If the event was held with an audience, there would be a lot of people there, and we thought that AEA would not be able to go to the venue or the area around the venue.
観客を入れての開催だとそれだけでもたくさんの方が集まるし、私たちAEAは会場、会場周辺には行けないかなと思った。
３．Action(今、できること):
・Remote support
・I made a video by researching how to call out cheers from various countries. For example, in Japan, it’s the 337beats(三三七拍子). If possible, I’d like to have it played at the venue or have the players watch it.
・リモート応援
・色々な国の応援の掛け声や仕方を調べて、動画を作る。例えば、日本なら三三七拍子など。もし可能なら会場で流してもらったり、選手の方々に見て欲しい。
R＆K．T（10 years old）
１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
I want to prevent the spread of covid-19 infection and get ready to welcome the guests from overseas who will come to Saitama for the Olympics and Paralympics games next year.
オリンピックを来年開催するためにも感染予防やおもてなしの準備を前向きに取り組みたいと改めて思いました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
With the number of covid-19 patients decreasing, I think strongly now that we can hold the Olympics and Paralympics games next year.
だんだん感染者も減少してきたし来年には開催できるという気持ちが強くなりました。
３．Action(今、できること):
I want to find the way to welcome the guests from overseas while preventing the spread of covid-19 infection. For example, I could set up disposal masks, gloves and hand sanitizers at my Origami workshops. I want to provide hospitality with confidence.
できるだけ感染予防をしたい。
おもてなしの方法(感染予防)を考えたい。例えば折り紙をお客様と一緒にやる場所には使い捨てマスクやビニール手袋、消毒液を用意しておく。
安心して楽しんでもらえる工夫を考えていきたい。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
After joining the workshop, I felt great knowing that the Olympics & Paralympics Division of Saitama prefecture is working hard to prep for the Olympics & Paralympics.
ワークショップに参加して、この状況でも五輪のためにできることを全力で取り組んでいて素晴らしいと思いました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
I think that we can hold the Olympics & Paralympics in a great condition next year.
今後オリンピックを万全な体制で準備し、開催できるとおもいます。
３．Action(今、できること):
I hope to provide comfort to those who are participating in the Olympics & Paralympics by sharing our progress on social media.
そのために、SNSなどを通じてこの今の取り組みを発信し皆に安心して参加できるようにしたいです。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
We were disappointed when we learned that the Olympics have been postponed because of the coronavirus. We don’t know what will happen in the future, but we will continue to prepare for the event. The details may change, but I feel that we want to make it a memorable one. I also thought it would be a tough job to reserve the venues again to hold the Olympics on the exact same schedule next year.
コロナの影響でオリンピックが延期になりみんなが残念に思っています。
この先どのようになるのかわからないけれど、開催に向けて今まで通り準備していくのがいいと思います。
開催の形が変わるかもしれませんが、みんなの思い出になる良い大会にしたいという思いが伝わってきました。
来年、全く同じ日程で開催するために、もう一度会場を予約するのは大変な仕事だと思いました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
It may not be possible to hold the Olympics as usual next year, so I hope to make it a whole new-style event. And I want to participate in it as a volunteer kid.
今までのオリンピックとは同じ形の開催は無理かもしれないので、全く新しいオリンピックができたらいいなと思いました。
オリンピックにボランティアキッズとして参加したいと思いました。
３．Action(今、できること):
It is a very good idea to send the athletes something we made by ourselves.
I want to tell them that we are looking forward to seeing them during the Olympics 2021.
選手たちに何かみんなで作ったものを渡すのはとてもいアイディアだと思いました。
オリンピックの開催を楽しみにして待っている私たちがいることを伝えたいです。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
I realized that the Olympics can be held after listening to Mr. Yamaguchi.
Yamaguchisan is helping other people to save there life in covid19.
It was comforting to find that Mr. Yamaguchi is thinking of all of us during this crisis of COVID-19.
山口さんのお話を聞いて、オリンピックをできると思った。
山口さんは、みんなのことをコロナの中、考えてくれてることがわかり、安心した。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
I think if the COVID-19 converge, the Olympics can be held. However it will change a lot. So we need to act accordingly.
コロナが収束できればやれると思う。しかし、たくさんのことが変わっていくと思う。僕たちも変わっていかなければならないと思う。
３．Action(今、できること):
We have internet to communicate with other people so I want to make other people happy through SNS. For example, I will post link to show what we are doing and if someone want to come to Saitama for the Olympic games, they can reach us and chat with AEA kids to get information. I would like to become friends with people who will come to Saitama after the Olympics too.
コロナの中でも、online でできることがあると思う。リモートで１人でも多くの人々を喜ばせたい。例えば、埼玉県が準備していることを僕たちも伝えるお手伝いができると思う。もし、オリンピックが開催されるなら、埼玉に来てくれる人たちに知りたい情報を伝えることもできると思う。オリンピック後も交流が続いたら良い。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
I realized that the key to holding the Olympics and Paralympics as planned next year is for us to be cautious so we can reduce the infection of coronavirus. Each person’s action lead to the future. Only we can make the future and change the future to good or bad.
I used to think that the events will be limited even if the Olympics and Paralympics would be held as planned since the virus can not be entirely under control. However, my thoughts changed after hearing from Mr.Yamaguchi that they are working hard to make it possible.
やっぱり自分が外にでないことで、感染者を減らし、オリパラの開催を予定通り行えるようになるということが分かった。一人一人の行動が未来につながっていることを感じた。
２０２１年にオリパラが行われても、感染が弱まってはいないからできる競技が少ないと思っていたけど山口さんのお話で知らないところで頑張ってできるようにしていることが分かったから、予定どおりの競技ができると思った。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
At first I was worried that the Olympics and Paralympics may not actually take place next year and I found out that everyone also felt the same way. At the same time, I realized we all are looking forward to the event. So I thought we could make it possible because we all have same strong hope.
はじめはできるか不安だったけど、みんなも同じで不安だった。でも、みんなオリンピック、パラリンピックを楽しみにしていることも同じだった。
だから、２０２１年には開催できる、開催したいと思った。
３．Action(今、できること):
I want to support the Olympics and Paralympics 2021. So I care about my action. I will not go to crowded places. I will wash my hands, gargle and use masks. I am sure that we can beat this virus if each person take care of themselves in such manner. Moreover, if everyone comes up with great ideas and share them, we will overcome this situation and hold the Olympics and Paralympics in a complete new way. So everyone should come together and keep hoping.
ぼくは、２０２１年のオリパラの応援をしたい。感染しない、させないような行動をする。３密をさける。手洗い、うがい、マスクなど普段の行動を気を付ける。
きっとみんなひとりひとりが気を付ければ、このウイルスに勝てると思う。みんながアイデアを出していいことを共有してみんなで乗り越えれば今までにないオリンピック、パラリンピックになると思います。
だから、一人じゃなくてみんながつながっていて、みんなで同じ気持ちを持ってほしいです。

I liked the ideas from other AEA kids.
AEAキッズのアイディアを聞いてわくわくしました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
I think it is important to avoid “3Cs”, so providing hospitality via Youtube would be a good solution.
The term 3Cs means social distancing in Japan, which refers to “Closed spaces”, “Crowded places” and “Close-contact settings”.
3みつにならないようにけいかくすることが大切だと思います。Youtubeがいいと思います。
３．Action(今、できること):
Via AEA channel on Youtube, I want to teach how to make origami medal. I also want to teach how to make face masks too.
AEA公式のYoutubeチャネルをつくります。公式ロゴは前もらった缶バッチです。AEA公式チャネルから、おりがみのメダルの作り方をひろめたいです。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
At the workshop, almost everybody asked if the Olympics will be held. I wondered about the same thing. But we won’t actually know until 2021. But Mr. Yamaguchi said “believe and prepare for it. Maybe we won’t be able to do volunteering work but it’s not 0% so we need to prepare it as
fast as we could.
このワークショップに参加してほとんどのみんなが「オリンピックは開催されるの？」と質問をしていました。でも実際2021になるまではわかりません。けれど山口さんは「開催されることを信じて準備をしてくださいと言ってました」もしかしたらボランティア活動ができないかもしれません。でもそれは0％ではないのでできるだけ早く準備をしないといけないと思います。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
After I joined the workshop, I thought I need to do research on the Olympics every day because I need to know the latest information on it. Also, some people asked if people can watch the games at Saitama Super Arena and I need to know about that too. So from now on, we need some time before the workshop to chat.
このワークショップに参加して僕は毎日オリンピックについて調べないといけないと思いました。なぜならできるだけ新しい情報がないといけないからです。そして何人かの人が 「チケットお当たった人は観戦できるのか」と聞いていたのでそれについても知らないといけません。なので毎回ワークショップの前には少しだけ情報共有の時間があればいいなと思います。
３．Action(今、できること):
From the next workshop, I think we need to chat about the status of Olympics & Paralympics and share the latest on the event with each other to prep.
これからは情報をこまめにチェックしたりそれについて話し合ったりしないといけません。そして僕たちは自分たちの計画の準備を進めないといけません。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
“Can Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics really be held ?”I was thinking like that before I joined this workshop. We won’t know until 2021. So I was little worried. But when I heard that ” Please believe that the Olympics and Paralympics will be held in 2021 and prepare for it.” from Mr. Yamaguchi, I thought “I need to prepare for it!”
私は、このワークショップをするまで「2021東京オリンピックパラリンピックは開催されるの?」と思っていました。しかしそれは2021にならないと誰もわかりません。なので私は少し不安でした。しかし、山口さんが「２０２１東京オリンピックパラリンピックが開催されることを信じて準備してください。」と言われたとき、「私も2021東京オリンピックパラリンピックに向け準備をしないと」と思いました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
I was worried that Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics will be canceled and we can’t welcome the guests from many countries. But now I know after joining the workshop that many people are trying hard and looking forward to holding the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics . So now I want to prepare for it too.
私は東京オリンピックパラリンピックが中止になってしまうのではないか、世界中から来てくれるゲストにおもてなしができないのでは、と不安でした。しかしこのワークショップでたくさんの人が頑張っていて東京オリンピックパラリンピックを楽しみにしているということは同じということがわかりました。なので私も準備を進めていきたいと思います。
３．Action(今、できること):
I think that the most important thing is to beat covid-19 and stay healthy. I also think we should think of many innovative ideas to welcome the guests who comes to Saitama for the Olympics & Paralympics next year because maybe we will not be able to proceed with some of the ideas under this circumstances. Moreover, I want to welcome the guest with a big big smile!!
私は、新型コロナウィルスが収束することと、私たちの健康が一番大切だと思います。私たちが今できることは世界中から来てくれるゲストにするおもてなしの、新しいアイデアを考えることです。考えたアイデアの中によってできないものも中にあるかもなのでたくさん考えておく必要があります。そしてわたしは、世界中から来てくれたゲスト笑顔で迎えたいです。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
I agree with the idea to make medals and give them to the athletes. We all could create something together to send our message to them.
メダルを作成して選手に渡したいという意見に賛成。
自分もみんなと一緒にメッセージなどを伝えられるものを作成して、選手に渡したいと思った。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
Because I want to terminate the spread of covid-19 virus as soon as possible, I will wash my hands and wear a mask to prevent myself from getting infected.
一日でも早くコロナを収束させたいから、手洗いやマスク着用など予防に努めて、まずは自分がかからないようにできることを頑張りたい。
来年のオリパラ成功に向けて、県も懸命に準備を進めていらっしゃることが分かり、私たちも可能な限り協力していきたいと思った。
３．Action(今、できること):
I want to find out specifically if it is possible to give our care package including hand made gold medals and message boards to the athletes that shows how much we are looking forward to having them in Saitama. If yes, how exactly?
金メダル、寄せ書き等、待ちわびている気持ちを伝えられる制作物は渡すことが可能か、どうしたら渡せるか、具体的に確認したい。
I also want to have a video chat with the athletes around the world including those form Japan who were planning on or looking forward to competing here in Saitama and as following questions:
◎ “How are you practicing under this situation?”
◎ “What do you do to maintain teamwork?”
◎ “If you can go out as you like in Saitama when you come next summer, are there any places you want to visit or go to eat?”
埼玉県で開催が予定されている競技の世界や日本の選手（代表確定済み、代表候補）とZOOM等のビデオ通話で会話したい。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
After joining the workshop, I felt that Mr. Yamaguchi is trying hard to secure the safety of guests and it was heart warming.
ワークショップに参加して、山口さんたちは、私達の安全を一番に考えていることを知り、とても暖かく感じました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
The Olympics & Paralympics Division of Saitama prefecture have many tasks to concur, so I want to help them by preventing the spread of covid-19.
課題がまだまだたくさんあると思います。だから、私達の安全を一番に考えている恩返しのように感染者を少なく出来るように油断せず、乗り越えたいです。
３．Action(今、できること):
Through social media, I want to tell everyone that many people are trying hard to hold the Olympics & Paralympics. We also want to communicate to make everyone smile.
SNSを通じこのような、埼玉県オリパラ取り組みを皆さんに知ってもらいたいです。私達も、早く海外の方、皆さんに英語を通じ、笑顔になってほしいです。

１． Research & Thoughts (発見・感じたこと):
I thought the Olympics will be held next year.
私は、オリンピックが来年あると思いました。
2. Hypothesis(今後について):
I was surprised because I thought the Olympics will be priority but they also have to wait in line to get space for it next year.
私は、オリンピックの場所はゆずってくれると思っていましたが、早いものがちなことを知って、びっくりしました。
３．Action(今、できること):
I want to cool down the guests with a fan and sanitizer so I asked Mr. Yamaguchi how should I do it. And he said we can show the fan or the grown-ups could do it. So I will get the sanitizer and make beautiful fans.
私は「オリンピックでおきゃくさんに消毒をうちわの葉っぱにつけてあおぎたいけど、どういう工夫をしたらいいですか？」と聞きました。山口さんは、「かざったり、大人にあおいでもらったりしてもいいですよ。」 といっていたので、消毒の用意とうちわをもう少しきれいに作る用意をします。
